I use a logitech throttle quadrant for those. But I can also assign collective to my joystick throttle. I use the bell 407 most of the time it is a wonderful easy to fly heli.

WebThe way the 407 is supposed to work is that you start with the throttle at idle. That’ll get you to ~63% NG where you let things warm up and do your checklists, get clearance, etc. From there you roll the throttle to FLY and the FADEC handles everything to get the NR to 100% and keep it there.
