WebJun 1, 2024 · MX 490 continuous power cycling . 05-30-2024 10:50 PM. My Canon MX490 AIO printer started to power cycle with only the Canon logo showing on the printer display. The printer will move the ink cartridges then the rollers will move and click then shut off then turn back on and start the same cycle again. This will happen while it's plugged in. The paper cleans the inside of the machine as it feeds through the machine. Check the folded parts of the ejected paper. If they are smudged with ink, perform Bottom Plate Cleaning again.

Check that you have the proper cartridge and that it firmly installed. Plug in the unit and turn it on. Please let us know what happens.
